trouble loading excel files
 

If I go to explore, find an excel file; double click on it to load
it.......excel loads but the file does not. the only way (I've found) to get
it to load is to click on the (upper right) minimize button. However, if I
load excel first and then go to file, open, to select a file......it works ok.

any suggestions?
