How to... apply the same formula to every cell?
I've run a sales report by item showing monthly sales for the last 3 years.
I need to divide each cell by 4. I am sure there is a much easier way than what I'm currently doing... right now I'm clicking in each cell, entering the "=" before the result, arrowing to the end & pasting the "/4". I think I'll go insane if I have to do this to all the cells... Is there a way to select a range of cells & have it apply the same formula to all of the cells at once? |

One way:
Enter 4 in an empty cell. Copy the cell. Select your cells to change. Choose Edit/Paste Special, selecting the Values and Divide radio buttons. Click OK. Try the following: 1) Enter 4 in any free cell 2) Right click on that cell and choose "Copy" 3) Select the range that you will change 4) Right click on any sell in the selected range and choose "Paste special" 5) Choose operation "Divide" and click OK. This should do it. Hope this helps / Lars-Åke |
