Stupid Question. Reduce Data Base Size Cant Remember How

My data field is a fixed size of 23000 or so numbers long. My sheet keeps
the size at around 65000 long. Every time I past a formula in a column it
sends it all the way to the bottom. How do I make my data base size just a
little larger than my data field?

This is never a problem for me but now I'm using a formula that compares two
sheets and pulls information from the other one. If I reduce the file size
it will speed up this process.

I know this is simple but I just can't remember how to do it. . .Any help
would be appreciated, Ive been looking for this everywhere in the help
section and cant seem to find it.

Regards,

Ernie

Stupid Question. Reduce Data Base Size Cant Remember How

It's not stupid, what it is is not clear!

Try this for starters, move down to the bottom row of data and select all
the rows from the next row all the way down to 65536, then press Ctrl+-
(control minus). Save the file. This will take care of Excel thinking your
database goes down 65000 rows.

Now as to making it a little large - what are you trying to do so that you
need to tell Excel the database is bigger than it really is?
