Delete second version of a spreadsheet
 
How to delete a second verseion of Excel that only shows up when the document
is being opened. The list of documents in the folder only shows 1 document
under that name

Do the title bars of the document windows have :1 and :2? This means there
are two windows open for that one workbook. Just close one of the windows.

And to add to Jon's response.

Select the window to close and hit ctrl-f4.

Then save the workbook (or you'll have to do it again!).
