Problems with Excel Comments

Lately when I add an excel comment it doesn't disappear when I move to a
different cell. I also find when I click to edit a comment the edit window
moves to a completely different spot on the worksheet. I've got "Freeze
Panes" active. Could that be a part of it?

Excel 2003?
Right click on the comment and see whether Show/Hide option is checked?

Positioning might be due to freeze panes.
Best way to test is do it once with Freeze pane and once without it...
