Default Results of filters

I am running Excel 2003 and have a large spreadsheet with filters on.
On previous versions of excel when I performed the filter, the number of
records was displayed in the bottom right of the spreadsheet. This seems to
have disappeared. Can anyone help me to get it back please.
Thanks

Hi,

Right click the status bar (Where you normally see the count) and you get a
popup. Select what you want to see and I guess you want 'Count'

Thanks for the reply, I have done as you said - selected count and performed
the filter again but I still don't get a result of the count anywhere.

Thanks

Sue,

In 2003 when you apply an autofilter the 'Ready' on the statusBar changes to

n of n records found and I don't know of any way to disable this without
resorting to VB

This assumes of course the statusbar is visible Tool|Options View tab and
check StatusBar.

have a looke here for more status bar info
