How do I change the width of the footer margin in Excel? We want to line up
the footer with a 1/2 inch margin.

Use menu File - Print Preview, then click on margins at top of page.

Left and right footer margins are permanently set about 3/4 inch from edge
of paper.

You can move them in by padding with spaces but you can't move them out.
