Forgotten password problem!

Password protected files

I have several password protected files that I can no longer remember what
password I used! Is there any way of opening these files?

Christopher Anderson

Yes. There is software that will guess your password for you. I don't know
of any off the top of my head but that is your only option. You cannot
access passwords in Excel through any backdoors.

Sorry.

You'll have to buy a product to do this, most likely. Here's a site the
provides a list of possibilities. Like the person who put the site up, I
can't vouch for any of them.

Hi

If it is a workbook or worksheet password, download my file from here.

If it is a file open password, you will need to purchase a commercial
password remover.

See http://www.Lostpassword.com

If it is the vba password and is excel 97 or earlier, search for vbapass97.
It is in German but is free and works great.

if excel 2000 and later vba password , this text file worked for me when I
followed the
directions.
