other user cannot format cells
 

I protected a sheet in a workbook, and check off "allow other users to format
cells" Upon emailing the file to another, she is unable to change the fill
color in a cell.

Suggestions?

Just a couple of questions...

What version of excel are you using?
What version of excel is she using?

That granular level of protection (giving you the choice to allow that stuff)
was added in xl2k. If she's running xl2k or earlier, then your settings won't
help her.
