How keep links when copy worksheets to another file?

I want to move 2 worksheets (Alpha & Beta) from file ABC.xls to STU.xls,
then I'll delete ABC.xls.
Beta is linked to Alpha, and I want to keep the links.

However, when I copy/move Alpha & Beta to STU.xls, the Beta worksheet links
back to Alpha in file ABC.xls.

How do I copy/move Alpha & Beta to STU.xls so that Beta is linked to Alpha
in file STU.xls?

If Beta is linked to just Alpha you should not get any links back to ABC
after copying or moving.

But since you say it does................

After copying the two sheets to STU.xls

With STU.xls open go to EditLinksChange source.

Link to STU.xls

The links between Alpha and Beta will remain with no reference to ABC.xls

Gord,

Since you said, "If Beta is linked to just Alpha you should not get any
links back to ABC," I decided to do a MOVE instead of a COPY -- that worked.

Thanks.
