When I cut & paste a spreadsheet line, it shows up as a picture

This started about 2 weeks ago. I copy and paste a line from a spreadsheet
into a new Excel spreadsheet. When I do, it shows up as a picture. I want
to be able to manipulate the data therefore a picture won't cut it. What's
gonig on and how do I fix it?
