I now when sorting excel puts blanks last. is there a way to get blanks to
come first and then sort numerically or alphabetically?

Sorting in Excel

Hi,

1. Select the column you want to sort on and press F5, Special, Blanks, OK
2. Type but don't enter -10^10 and then press Ctrl+Enter
3. Sort your data - the -10^10 should have come to the top
4. Select all the -10^10 entries and delete them

If this helps, please click the Yes button.

Cheers,

Hi,

please change the -10^10 in the last post to simple -10000000 (any large
negative number)

cheers,
