count number of instances of same data
Hello,
I have a worksheet with 2159 rows. Each row contains 2 columns (name and number) with many duplicates. I want to end up with a report that shows 3 columns (name, number, instances) where there are no duplicates but the instances column shows the number of times each name and number appears. I think a pivot table is the solution but I can't get it to do what I want. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks! |

Never mind, I figured it out.
Thanks anyway! "George" wrote: Hello, I have a worksheet with 2159 rows. Each row contains 2 columns (name and number) with many duplicates.
