For a Data Validation drop-down, just make sure the first cell in the
validation list is blank. -- Gary''s Student - gsnu200823 "tates" wrote: I want the first line in the drop down box to be blank - can anyone tell me how to do this? -- Regards ~ tates |

I went to INSERT/NAME/DEFINE and changed Refersto: to include a blank line
plus the cells with the list I do want. Then I tried typing the word BLANK - changed the type to white so it wouldn't show, that didn't work either. -- Regards ~ tates "Gary''s Student" wrote: For a Data Validation drop-down, just make sure the first cell in the validation list is blank. -- Gary''s Student - gsnu200823 "tates" wrote: I want the first line in the drop down box to be blank - can anyone tell me how to do this? -- Regards ~ tates |

It might be there, but not easily recognizable. Try putting the blank as the
second item in the list, not the first.
