drop down box
 

I have a problem with a drop down box. I am using excel 2007. I create the
dropdown box using the data validation method. It works fine, but when i
open the dropdown box and click the down arrow, the first cell that is shown
is just after all of my data and it is blank. I can scroll up to see
choiices, but i would like to start at the first one. Thanks

It sounds like you have an empty cell in the source for the drop down list.
Readjust the source range to exclude that empty cell.
