What is the actual size of an Excel spreadsheet?

A sheet in excel 97 onwards is 65536X256

One worksheet contains 16,777,216 cells. However the size of a workbook
depends on how much information you put in it and where you put the information and how many sheets you have and whether or not you've added any macros or graphics and probably a few things I've forgotten.
