MS Excel 2007 bug in difference between time

I've created a simple worksheet to return the difference between two times,
however, the first time is being reported incorrectly by 2 hours.

B2 - 11:00
C2 - 18:30
D2 - =C2-B2

MS Excel 2007

The result of D2 is returned as 07:30, whilst this should read 05:30. This
problem does not happen with another cell.
Am I using some incorrect formula?

Jon,

The difference between 2 times is a number of hours so perhaps you should be
using this.

=((C2-B2)*1440)/60

But this will return 7.5, why do you suppose it should be something different?

According to you example data, the correct result is indeed 7:30.

From 11 AM to 6:30 PM is 7 Hours and 30 Minutes. Or subtracting 11
hours from 18 hours and 30 minutes leaves 7 hours and 30 minutes. Please
re-examine expectations.
