Excel Template fails to open???
 

Hi Folks,

Running XP Pro/Office Pro2002 and New Office Document/Excel Template will
run Excel which then seems to stall and fails to open the chosen Template
which must be done separately ... fiddly and time consuming .. grrr

Any fix for this ??

I believe that is by design, you need to open excel first before you can
open a template from spreadsheet solutions. You can move them to the general
templates folder and it should work

I use winxp home and office 2003.

I used windows start button|new office document|spreadsheet solutions

and it opened excel with a newly created workbook based on the template I chose.

I don't have a guess why it doesn't work for you--but maybe you've got something
to look forward to when you upgrade????
