How do I calculate the average time from a group of TIMES in excel
=Average(A1:A1500) if your times are in the range A1:A100.
Am I missing something here? "CRMRAA" wrote: I have a list of about 1500 times (in military format) that I would like to get the mean of the list. Please advise and thank you in advance. |

Times are just normal numbers, the fraction of a 24-hour day (e.g.,
6:00 = 0.25, 12:00 = 0.5, 18:00 = 0.75), so you can average them just as you would "real" numbers. E.g., =AVERAGE(A1:A10) Format the cell with the formula in it as [hh]:mm or [hh]:mm:ss.
