Automatically entering data
Good afternoon!
I would like to find a way to automatically attach a client name to a client number. For instance, if client is called "thisismyclient", and his client number is 00001, is there a way in the spreadsheet to automatically populate the correct name by just typing in the client number? Many thanks! PS, I work on Excel 2003. |

hi
yes there is....with a lookup formula. but.... you have to have a table of client names and corrosponding client numbers that the formula can reference. in xl help read up on lookup formulas. or... you can download a file that explains most xl formulas http://www.xlfdic.com/ Regards FSt1 "Beverly" wrote: Good afternoon!
