Classic Excel
First day with 2007 Excel. Is there a way to get the classic excel view? I
don't use the mouse, so I'm not really liking the new format. Is there a way to convert 2007 so it operates like the normal excel? Pls help. If I can't get the classic excel back, I'm either going to go postal, or quit and go live in a cave. |

BUT...... some thought ahead. see this site. i do not have xl07 and have not tried this. i just stumbled across it while doing research on 07. http://in.geocities.com/shahshaileshs/ here is another but these creeps want money. $16 USD again....i have not tried this. and you may want to check this out http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/he...491511033.aspx an interactive do-hicky that MS came up with to shop where all the commands moved to. kinda neat but falls short on some key points. good luck Regards FSt1 "MJK" wrote: First day with 2007 Excel. "creeps"? Why don't you write a free program to reinstate classic menus in XL2007? Also, I need some house cleaning done for free. Are you available? -- Jim Cone Portland, Oregon USA "FSt1" wrote in message ... hi forgot to post the site from the creeps who want money. http://www.addintools.com/english/menuexcel/ sorry. Get used to the ribbon
But if you really want Check this out (free) No add in or code needed You can add the old menu items with RibbonX See this example from Charlie Woodall: You can add classic menus to Excel 2007 with XML. No VBA is necessary. Here is the XML file along with the add-in that contains it. The add-in will add a ClassicUI tab to the ribbon. http://cid-c71180b441714fdc.skydrive...lClassicUI.xml http://cid-c71180b441714fdc.skydrive...ClassicUI.xlam -- Regards Ron de Bruin http://www.rondebruin.nl/tips.htm "MJK" wrote in message ... hi
the ops that come here are seeking advice/help/guidence - free. the ones that provide this advice/help are unpaid volunteers. i hate to provide advice that requires that you pay for it. sorry. Thanks guys. I'll give these a try.
And yes, I do want it free. It was just fine the way it was. I use Excel all day every day for work . My productivity has just plummeted. Is MS going to reimburse me and my company for the decrease in productivity? If they were to do that for every company, they'd be right there with the auto companies asking for handouts.
