Default How do I automatically enter a date to a row when I create it

I am inputing data onto excell and need to know when I inputted a row. Is
there a way I can do this without doing manually?

Please be specific as I dont know anything about macros so if it is a
formula that would be great.

I don't know if this is possible but if you want to input the current date
quickly press Ctrl/;
