Please Help, Need a Formula

Hi I have a spread sheet as per below:
What I need is a formula to search for a fund code from the top and from the
bottom, if they match I need the Gain/Loss figures to be added together.
Basically if any of the fund codes match in the upper portion with a fund
code in the lower than add the gain or loss together to come up with the net
gain or loss.
If any of the cells within one range match any of the cells in the other add
the applicable Gain/Loss together.

Please Help, Need a Formula

You probably want Sumif. It's hard to tell where your data is, so it's
difficult to come up with a formula based on what you've told us. If you
still have questions after looking it up in Help, post back.

Regards,
Fred.

Please Help, Need a Formula

Assume data in lower table is within A11:G20
Assume the top table's data starts in row3
Put in say, H3: =G3+SUMIF($A$11:$A$20,A3,$G$11:$G$20)
Copy H3 down
