How do I automatically reset numbers to 0 on a daily basis?

I work at a school and we have a lunch count that we do in an Excel
spreadsheet. The teachers update their homeroom counts on a daily basis and
it all gets combined in a report for the cafeteria staff. I would like the
numbers to reset to zero at the end of every day so that if a teacher forgets
to make a change to a number, it is not carried over the the previous day.
Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Hi,

You don't say which numbers but you could use the workbook open event to do
what you want

Private Sub Workbook_Open()
Sheets("Sheet1").Range("A1") = 0
End Sub

Perhaps make the "source" Excel spreadsheet a Template?

I think Bob's suggestion of a Template would probably be best but if you
want to go with your original request........................

Select the range to change and F5SpecialConstants...........de-select all
options except Numbers and OK.

Cells with numbers will be selected.

Type a zero in the active cell then hit CTRL + ENTER.
