How do I automatically reset numbers to 0 on a daily basis?
I work at a school and we have a lunch count that we do in an Excel
spreadsheet. The teachers update their homeroom counts on a daily basis and it all gets combined in a report for the cafeteria staff. I would like the numbers to reset to zero at the end of every day so that if a teacher forgets to make a change to a number, it is not carried over the the previous day. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance! |

Hi,
You don't say which numbers but you could use the workbook open event to do what you want Private Sub Workbook_Open() Sheets("Sheet1").Range("A1") = 0 End Sub Mike .(donotspam)" wrote: I work at a school and we have a lunch count that we do in an Excel spreadsheet. Perhaps make the "source" Excel spreadsheet a Template?

I think Bob's suggestion of a Template would probably be best but if you
want to go with your original request........................ Select the range to change and F5SpecialConstants...........de-select all options except Numbers and OK. Cells with numbers will be selected. Type a zero in the active cell then hit CTRL + ENTER.
