Is it possible to rename column or row headers in Excel? I mean the Columns A, B, C, D... abd Rows 1, 2, ... Many Thanks M |

You can also hide both headers and enter whatever you want in the first row and the first column, then freeze the first row and first column so that they will always appear on your worksheet. Bill |

Not in the way you're probably thinking. You can goto ToolsOptionsView
tabWindow OptionsUncheck Row and column headers then you can use row 1 for your own custom column headers and you can use column A for your own custom row headers but any formulas (for all practical purposes) would still need to reference the default column/row headers. -- Biff Microsoft Excel MVP "Simo" wrote in message ...
