Where can I find Tools : Data Analysis : Regression in Excel (Vist

I am looking to find where in Windows Vista I can find Regression. In Excel
2003, it would be Tools:Data Analysis:Regression, but I can't even find the
proper Tools menu. Vista is so not user friendly...

Hi,

Data Analysis is not a Vista issue, strictly Excel. You need to attach the
Analysis ToolPak just as you needed in 2003.

Choose Office Button, Excel Options, Add-ins, at the bottom make sure Excel
Add-ins is selected in the Manage drop down and choose Go. Put a check
beside the Analysis ToolPak.

The command will now be on the Data ribbon.

Cheers,

If you are using Excel 2007 then you need to enable the Analysis Toolpak
addin:
Office Button--Excel Options--Addins--Excel Addins--Check Analysis
Toolpak

Then Click Data on the top ribbon bar and you will find a Data Analysis tab
on the right of the ribbon.

regards
Charles
