Data-Validation_settings
I have set up a dropdown list in my worksheet using a list from another
worksheet inside the same workbook. I have set the validation-Settings page up so it should not allow any blank cells (the ignore blank box is unchecked) in the column of my dropdown list but it continues to allow blank cells. What am I not doing correctly to not allow blank cells? |
Have you checked to make sure you have not included any blank cells in your
list? "Boomer" wrote in message ... I have set up a dropdown list in my worksheet using a list from another worksheet inside the same workbook. If the user enters an invalid value, they'll see an error message. If
'Ignore blanks' is unchecked, and they click Retry, then press the Delete key, they'll see another error message, because the blank cell won't be allowed as a replacement. However, Data Validation allows users to use the Delete key to clear a cell in other circumstances, or to leave the cell blank when filling in the rest of the worksheet.
