Hi,

First you should realize that Excel's programming language is a full fledged
programming language just like COBOL or C++. It takes years to become a
programmer, it is not going to happen in a few hours. Start by buying a
couple of books or VBA programming in Excel, such as Reed Jacobson's Step by
Step and John Walkenbach's Power Programming in Excel. Take a couple of
classes. Read the VBA help system, record macros, try to figure out what
they are doing. Read other post on this site and figure out what they are
talking about.

Programming is not for everyone, in fact most people probably would hate it.
If your loosing patients alread, your probably not cut out to be a
programmer.

We can only give you small steps (pointers) here at this site, because a
1000 page answer (that's about how long John's book is) just isn't what this
site is all about, all that said, a starting place would be:

Basically, turn on the recorded and do the steps you want, turn off the
recorder and test. When the code doesn't do what you want post the code here
and tell us what it is doing and what you want it to do. Start a recording
by choosing Tools, Macros, Record New Macro. Do the steps, turn the recorder
off.

You can edit the macro by pressing Alt+F11, opening the Module folder
attached to your workbook in the Projects area and double clicking module1.

Also, you might consider posting programming questions to the Excel
Programming newsgroup.

Cheers,
