Why is Paste Link not available when I Paste Special
 

In a lesson for my class on Linking and Embedding the option under Paste
Special to Paste Link As an Excel spreadsheet object was not available for
all students. We went thru the steps together and some worked and some would
not. We were linking a spreadsheet to a word document.
