Fill Series Not Functioning
 

I'm trying to use fill series, but when I highlight all the cells which are
presently numbered 1-8 and drag down, the series starts with 2 and runs
through 9. How do I get the next "numbered" cell to read 9 and go through
16? I need to do this multiple times i.e. 17-25. I've pasted the cells I'm
highlighting here if that helps:

Your problem is not clear...

Which cells do you have 1-8? A1-A8?

Where do you want 9-17?

One thing you can do is enter =A8 if 8 is in A8 in the cell you want 9 (say
A20)
and then
=A20+1 in next few cells till you get to 17
and repeat the process.
