linked objects following and leading returns
 

When I link in an object from an excel file into a word Document the linked
object automatically includes a leading and folloing return in the update and
disrupts the line or sentence. i.e.
From:<<linked object , Project Manager
becomes
From:
<<linked object
, Project Manager

Is there anyway to remove these returns so as not to disrupt the format of
the letter.
