Pivot table - old items

I have a pivot table set-up for tracking due dates and project information.
One of the fields I frequently use to sort is by the due date. After a due
date has past I delete the date from the input table, however the date
continues to show-up in the pull down menu of the pivot table field. Now I
have to scroll through tons of old dates to access the valid ones. How can I
get the field pull down list to update and remove any old dates that have
been removed from the input sheet. (2003)

Pivot table - old items

Hi,

Here's the intuitive? way -

1. Drag the field button for the Date field off the pivot table
2. Refresh the pivot table
3. Drag the field button for the Date field back on to the pivot table.

Logical?

If this was helpful, click the Yes button

Cheers,
