Using XL2000, I have a client who uses a spreadsheet which has a password to
modify on it (assigned under File | Save As | Tools |General Options). If another user opens the file as "read only", when he tries to open the file, he gets the prompt for the password, which is what he wants. If, however, another user tries to open the file, gets the prompt for the password, and leaves the prompt on the screen, and leaves it like that indefinitely, when my client tries to open the file, he can only open it in read-only; he does not get the password prompt. Is there a way around this? Any and all help is greatly appreciated. -- LPS |
