Vlookup
My version of excel used to function such that when I would be selecting my
data range for a vlookup, as I was holding and moving my cursor, a box would appear showing me the count of rows I was going over so I could set my column index. It doesn't do that anymore. How do I turn this feature back on? |

Vlookup
It depends on where you're at on the sheet.
If you select A1 and drag to D1 before you let go of the mouse button look at the name box and it will tell you the size of the selected range like 1R x 4C. Now, if you select A1 and drag to AA1 as soon as column A scrolls out of the window and before you let go of the mouse button then you get a little "balloon" that shows the selection size like 1R x 27C. -- Biff Microsoft Excel MVP "Big Pauly" <Big wrote in message ...
