Is there any way round this message? I have tried switching off error
notification and automatic calculation, but to no effect.

Sheet has a large number of cells with data validation (2262) and a large
number of cells with conditional formatting (9048).

The workbook is less than 600 KB in size, only 2 sheets, 2nd sheet has very
little data on it.

Workbook is saved with some of the data validation removed.
