When I send a report to the printer, an annoying box pops up to tell me it
has gone to the printer...Anyway to disable it? I am not the only one that
finds it annoying...thanks for your help

Does it happen only in Excel? If not then it might be a printer feature...

Do you mean "Now printing page 1 of 4 etc."?

That is standard behavior in Excel.

I don't know of a method of changing that behavior.

Sorry, I guess I wasn't very clear...I haven't noticed it in any other program except for excel...no, Gord, that is not the window I was referring to. It is a box that pops up in the lower right hand corner which states "this document has gone to the printer" It does not happen every time, just enough to be annoying....this is not just my complaint, every one in the office hates it. It also, at the same time puts a printer icon in the toolbar, but it disappears before you can click on it.....anyway, if anyone out there has experienced this, maybe they could explain it a little better than I did...

Thanks for taking the time to read...

That feature is set by the Operating System. You will find it in Print
Server Properties, on the Advanced Tab. Open it and adjust preferences
to suit. (Look up SET PRINT SERVER in Windows Help and Support)

Many thanks for the answer. I use Office 2007 and I just recently had the
same problem. Your answer corrected my problem. The only thing I can figure
is Microsoft changed something or, I recently downloaded new drivers for my
Epson printer. It is possible that caused the problem.
