Automatic Update of Sharepoint Data in Excel

I am running Excel 2007 and Sharepoint Svc 3.0. I have a spreadsheet and
graphs that run off of a table exported from Sharepoint. It appears that the
link to Sharepoint is intact. I would like to be able to leave the graph
open on my desktop and have it update every 5 minutes or so. In order to
update right now I have to open the tab containing the data and click the
"Refresh" icon. In the Connection Properties menu there is a check box to
refresh every xx minutes, but it is grayed out and unavailable. Is there
something I can do to make this option available? Is it possible to
automatically update graphs in the background as the data changes?

I'm having the same trouble. Did you find a solution?
