inserting page number
 

Hi I want to insert the page number in a cell.

The reason being, i want to change the colour of the font used, and as this
is not possible using the footer, a solution is to add it in a cell and
repeat the row on each page. I just can't see how to automatically add the
page number.

I am not sure I understand your problem. Excel permits you to change the
font characteristics of the header and footer text (font type, size, color,
etc.). I am not aware of any function in Excel that can calculate the page
number outside of the Header and Footer.

unfortunately in Excel 2003, you cannot change the text colour in the header/
footer. so i need to look at a different solution, hence the question.
