How to take a list of names & addresses from web site into Excel
I am on a website that has a large list that I would like to copy into Excel.
It does not open into a new window. It's just there on the page and are grouped by individual business like this: Name Address City, St Zip Phone Name Address City, St Zip etc... I would like to put it into Excel with headings across of Name, Address, etc. Thanks |

One way you can do this is as follows
1. Copy all the addresses and paste them into Excel This will get you address1 in A1-A4, address2 in A6-A9 and so on Now paste this formula in B1 =INDIRECT("R"& (ROW()-1)*5+(COLUMN()-1) &"C1",FALSE) and copy across to B5 then down till the row no. equal to the no of addresses you have. Once you get it right then you can copy and Past Special|Values to remove formulas... If you want to separate City, St Zip then you can choose that column and do Data|Text to Columns... After typing or pasting the formula in B1...
Copy B1 Select the range B1:E100 and press CTRL-V to paste the formula... If this does not work then pl. list the steps you are performing so that I can try and help you.
