Copy worksheet containing names to other workbook w/o problems?
Hi
When i move worksheets to other workbooks, i regular come across 2 problems with named references. Note: both workbooks contain the same named ranges (both referring to cells within the workbook). 1 - Excel doesn't ask me if i want to use the names already defined within the workbook i am moving the sheet to. Instead all names in the sheet i move refer back to the workbook it came from. 2 - Excel asks me if i want to use the names already defined within the workbook i am moving the sheet to (good!) but; it asks me for every name in the workbook i am moving from (not just in the sheet). It also copy over every name in the former workbook which is not in the later - i therefore end up having many unneccesary names! I would grately appreciate it if anyone could shed light on either of the above. Thanks |
Copy worksheet containing names to other workbook w/oproblems?
did you find an answer for this? I'm also trying to copy a worksheet containing named ranges to another worksheet w/in the same workbook but it keeps wanting to reference the name ranges of the first worksheet.
