I'm using Excel 2002 SP3 on a Win2K Machine.

I found a curious error message while typing some short-hand notes into a
cell. Does the symbol "@" carry some significance in Excel?

For example, the statement produced the error message was:
@ the

The error message was the one about "The formula you typed contains an
error." . . .

Is this a bug or does "@" have some significance?
