Default dBase IV and VBA in Excel 2007

Windows XP Pro SP3
Excel 2007

Can dbf files still be created using VBA or are dbf files read only
even in VBA? I don't have Excel 2007 yet but will soon and I build a
lot of dbf files. Just trying to figure out a plan of attack. Thanks!
