Graph size
I have a graph that I would like to fit onto one page, overlayed on an excel
spreedsheet. The problem is, when I make the holding window fit, the graph itself won't enlage enough, and when I make the holding window larger, it effects the page size and placement. I have notice that to the right of the graph, there is a large space (where the label default is) that is empty, and I can't figure out how to make that space usable. |

One thing you can do is convert the graph into a picture and then use the
Picture toolbar to size and CROP the picture Select the chart and then hold the shift key down.Next go to Edit menu and select COPY Picture. On the pop up seclect AS Appear on Screen(2x) and Picture. The from menu Edit - Paste. Now from menu View - Toolbars - Picture. "clark-ee" wrote: I have a graph that I would like to fit onto one page, overlayed on an excel spreedsheet. Hi,
Have you tried selecting the chart and choosing the print command. And with the chart selected check out the options under Page Setup. I am not sure what you mean by holding window. But if you place the chart exactly over the Excel spreadsheet grid (drag and size the chart with the Alt key held down.). Then highlight only the cells directly under the chart, use the keyboard (shift key and cursor keys) Then choose File, Print Area, Set Print Area, then choose File, Page Setup and choose Fit to Page 1 page wide and 1 page tall. -- Thanks, Shane Devenshire "clark-ee" wrote: I have a graph that I would like to fit onto one page, overlayed on an excel spreedsheet. I am assuming that doing this will make the information static (unchangable).
Nice idea, but the information collected on the graphs will be compiled by multiple employees, and the information will not always be the same. I would like it to graph itself, based on the input, with little or no tampering, that way, everyone can use the same sheet, just by entering the stats. Is the Chart(s) on a Worksheet or is it on a Chart Sheet? When you create a
Chart there are two options As A Sheet As an Object on a Sheet You can change the option by clicking on the chart and then Right Click and select Location. I presume the "holding window" is how you describe the ChartObject, i.e.,
the shape containing the embedded chart. Drag the handles on the shape while holding the Alt key to make the shape snap to the cell boundaries. To resize the plot within the shape, select the plot area, the rectangle defined by the chart axes. resize this plot area as needed to reduce the unused space around the plot. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions Peltier Technical Services, Inc. - http://PeltierTech.com _______ "clark-ee" wrote in message ...
