Sheeloo,
If you had looked at the message headers of wx4usa's message to which you were replying, you would have seen that the message came via Google groups, rather than via Microsoft's web interface to the newsgroups. Please remember that it causes confusion to users to refer them to a facility which doesn't exist on a newsgroup, and frequent references to such a facility cause annoyance to other contributors accessing the newsgroup directly. -- David Biddulph "Sheeloo" <="to" & CHAR(95) & "sheeloo" & CHAR(64) & "hotmail.com" wrote in message ... Hello David,
No, I did not notice that. I will take care in the future. Don't you think marking a question as answered is important? If yes, then what is the best way to handle it for those who are using newsreaders...? As one who uses a newsreader, then, no, I don't consider that marking a
question as answered is important, and if it were, I don't believe that there is any direct way of handling it for those who are using newsreaders. If those using the Microsoft web interface consider that feature to be important, then presumably they might be able to mark something as answered on behalf of the original questioner, but I would doubt whether it's worth the hassle. Perhaps the web interface should make it clearer that many answers will not necessarily be tagged as such? -- David Biddulph "Sheeloo" <="to" & CHAR(95) & "sheeloo" & CHAR(64) & "hotmail.com" wrote in message ... David,
Got your point. It makes sense. I will not ask the user to mark as answered in future.
