How do I change Select All in filters?
Is there a way to deactivate the default setting of Select All so that you
won't have to do this each time you select a value for the filter? |

The flip side is to use Custom Views to store various filtered
settings/positions. In each filtered view, just click View Custom Views Add. Give it a meaningful, short name OK. Repeat for other views as desired. Maybe include one custom view for the normal unfiltered position. Then, whenever you need to retrieve the custom views (you could activate it even if you are in another sheet), just click View Custom Views, select the particular view Show, and it'll display it. -- Max Singapore http://savefile.com/projects/236895 Downloads:19,000 Files:362 Subscribers:62 xdemechanik --- "Amy Caudle" wrote: Is there a way to deactivate the default setting of Select All so that you won't have to do this each time you select a value for the filter? |

Assuming you are speaking of Autofilter, I do not think there is a way.
But what would you like to be the default if you could change it? How would Excel know which value to default to?
