problem in chart x axis while values are in merged cell
 

I have values of 12 months in row 2. I have merged 2 cells and put the value
in 12 such merged cells. Now how can I show 12 divisions in the chart x axis
as it automatically shows 24 divisions?

Get rid of the merged cells.
Look at the archives of this group to see countless reasons to avoid them
(unless there is no alternative).
