Can you get an Excel check box to link to another cell/worksheet? I tried
this, but it just returns a "0", and doesn't acknowledge the check or check
box. I wonder if I have to just use a standard cell & manually type an "X"
to get a link to another cell/worksheet.

Thanks!

If you're using the check box off the FORMS controls toolbar, right click on
the checkbox after placing it in the cell and click the CONTROL tab and enter
the sheet name and cell address Sheet1!A1

If you're using the checkbox on the CONTROLS toolbar after inserting the
check box, right click and select properties. On the ALPHABETIC tab, locate
the LINKEDCELL property and enter the sheet name and cell address.

When done turn design mode off by clicking the button on the CONTROLS
toolbar that has the pencil/ruler/triangle icon.

Hope this helps.

One of the Checkbox Properties is Linked Cell. Type in the cell you wish to
have linked to the checkbox (my personal preference is to link to the cell
the checkbox is actually in, then change the formatting of the cell to
Font-White).
This will populate the cell with either TRUE or FALSE depending on the
status of the checkbox. Then you can reference the cell for your needs.

Hope this helps.
