format cell does not work
When I right click on a cell and select "format cells" the normal dialog box
does not appear. There are some cells that it works ok on. Some of these have protection turned on and some are off. The workbook protection is turned OFF. The "format cells" menu selection is not grayed out |

Are all protections turned off? Sheet/workbook/etc? Or only workbook?

Yes, ALL protections are turned off. This file was "imported" from Quattro
Pro. It was a long time ago and I'm not sure what version. Would that have something to do with it ?? "Sean Timmons" wrote: Are all protections turned off? Sheet/workbook/etc? Or only workbook? Format won't open for cell in Excel
Hi,
Just had this happen to me. Not sure what caused it, however I got it to work by finding a cell that allowed me to choose and use the Format Option. I copied the good cell and did a Paste Special - Formats in all of the affected cells. Seems to have worked. Thanks, Katy |
