Combination Chart
I have a combination chart in Excel 2007 - both charts showing together.
Chart "A" is a stacked bar and Chart "B" is a line. For chart A I want to start at a date of 1995 but for chart B I want to start at 2002. Both charts use the date as the X-axis and both sets of data correspond to the correct dates - in other words the data for the stacked bar starts at 1995 and the data for the line bar starts in 2002. When I set up the data series, both charts are shown starting at 1995 - so the line graph is showing starting at the left of the chart, when I want it to begin in the middle - at 2002. I tried creating a secondary x-axis but that didn't help. Any suggestions? Thanks. David |
Combination Chart
In charts with a category axis (line, area, column), the category labels
used by the first series are used for all series. You need to use data that accommodates the same categories. For example, your line data needs to have this structu 1995 [blank] 1996 [blank] 1997 [blank] 1998 [blank] 1999 [blank] 2000 [blank] 2001 [blank] 2002 [data] 2003 [data] 2004 [data] etc. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions Peltier Technical Services, Inc. - http://PeltierTech.com _______ "dhstein" wrote in message ...
