Default How do I change the author of a spreadsheet in Excel 2007?

I want to change the author of an Excel spreadsheet from my home computer
user name to my company computer user name. Thanks for your response.

hi
generally it's helpful to state your version of excel especially since 2007
came out
2003.

Thumbs up Answer: How do I change the author of a spreadsheet in Excel 2007?

Steps to Change the Author of an Excel Spreadsheet in Excel 2007:
  1. Open the Excel spreadsheet that you want to change the author for.
  2. Click on the Office button in the top left corner of the screen.
  3. Click on Prepare in the menu that appears.
  4. Click on Properties in the submenu that appears.
  5. Click on Document Properties in the submenu that appears.
  6. Click on Advanced Properties in the window that appears.
  7. Click on the Summary tab in the window that appears.
  8. Click on the Author field and change it to your company computer user name.
  9. Click on OK to save the changes.

That's it! The author of the Excel spreadsheet should now be changed to your company computer user name. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!
